Character Summary
In the first few chapters in Out Stealing Horses we figure out the main characters were Trond Sander, a 67 year old man who lives with his dog Lyra which appears to be his only friend. Trond and Lyra live in a cabin in Norway near a river. Trond seems to be a reserved man that describes how he's always wanted to be living in peace and silence. Later, he describes waking up one night and mets his neighbor for the first time Lars Haug who was looking for his dog, Poker. He then later goes on to tell a story of when he was younger. After that Trond has a flash back of his summers he spent with Jon. And talks about how they had adventures Jon planned out for them .

Kelly,
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point how Trond is living quietly and reserved and that's the way he has always wanted to live. I think the adventures Jon planned out for them shows that Jon was the leader and Trond was the follower. Jon would say what they were doing and Trond would just go along with it.
